Star Wars a New Hope

Dear Parents,

Over the last few months our class has been reading William Shakespeare’s Star Wars, Verily a New Hope by Ian Doescher.

In honor of finishing the book and to prepare for our play production. We are watching Star Wars a New Hope on Monday, May 9th. The movie is rated PG.

If you wish to have your student opt out there will be an equally enjoyable activity provided.

For opting out of the film please sign below and return.  If you give permission for your student to watch the film please disregard.

SAGE Testing

Dear Parents,
6th Grade will be working on their end of year Sage Testing. In the next few weeks it is important that students come prepared, on time, and have eaten a breakfast (of course this is always important). A hand out has been sent home that has the testing times and dates, please review this with your students. Mrs. West has purchased snacks for all of the students. We will be distributing snacks before the test.

Guest Speaker Kenny Kemp

Today was an amazing opportunity for our 6th Graders. 

Kenny Kemp the author of Flack Pak was kind enough to give of his time and expertise. He gave an excellent presentation about W.W.2 to our class.

Student Treasure Books

6th Grade is currently working

on publishing two books!

In Mrs.Emery's Science Class the students  are completing an expository science facts book.

In Mr.Frank's Language Arts Class the students are making a book about their favorite seasons using different writing styles. 

Your student will receive a free copy of each book. For additional copies a flyer  has been sent home with the details.
