A note from Mrs. Emerys Student Teacher

Hello Parents!
My name is Krissie Wilson, and this letter is to let you know that I will be student teaching in Mrs.
Emery’s classroom! I graduate this May from Utah State University with a certification in elementary
education and an emphasis in language arts. I am really excited to work with your child for the next 7
weeks of this semester.
Just a little about me… I have always desired to be a teacher, since I first saw my dad teach his class of
business students. I was a paraeducator for three years, at Oquirrh Hills Elementary in Kearns, Utah,
while attending Utah State. I had experience working with small groups in enrichment and reteach
of
reading and math concepts. I expanded my teaching knowledge and experience by applying my studies to
these small groups and my practicum.
A few fun facts...I am a Utah native and grew up in Cottonwood Heights. I love the majestic mountains
and adore all seasons that Utah! Even this cold winter snow! I am a huge fan of oldies music..John
Denver, Elton John, Simon and Garfunkel. I am a Diet Coke fanatic and enjoy an occasional bag of salt
and vinegar chips.
I hope these 7 weeks will be wonderful for you and your student! I look forward to meeting all of you!
Sincerely,
Krissie Wilson
